Amboseli National Park – Land of the Gaints

With a spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro,  Amboseli National Park is probably the most scenic and prettiest park in Kenya. “Amboseli” is a Maasai word, meaning “salty dust”. It is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close.

Amboseli is a nature lovers dream where they can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli (dead lake), wetlands with Sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.  Home to wide variety of wildlife, Amboseli is a photographer’s dream.

Amboseli will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first park where I was able to photograph a super tusker (the late Tolstoy) and the view of Mount Kilimanjaro with simply blow your mind away. Amboseli should definitely be on your to do list!
